This tapestry was originally designed and woven by Morris & Company around 1900. William Morris is well-known as the founder of the English firm of Morris & Company, whose workshops were established at Merton Abbey in Surrey.
From studying an old French Arts and Crafts manual, William Morris taught himself the technique of tapestry-weaving, and spent many hours weaving his first experimental tapestry by hand in his bedroom at Kelmscott House in Hammersmith, London. Morris thereafter taught his workmen the technique, and is thereby attributed with reviving the craft of tapestry-weaving in England during the last quarter of the 19th century.
This beautiful tapestry is woven on a jacquard loom by skilled weavers, keeping alive the centuries old tradition of tapestry manufacturing from generation to generation. This tapestry is fully lined incorporating a rod pocket on the back for hanging with an exclusive Heirloom flush-to-wall hanging rod. Alternatively, this tapestry can be hung with a decorative pole of your choice.

FREE SHIPPING IN THE USA by UPS (for orders over $250) $15 shipping on orders below $250. Orders will usually arrive between 14-28 working days from order date but can be delivered quicker in some circumstances.

If for some reason, you want to return your tapestry within our 30 day guarantee period, we will pay for the return if you want to try another tapestry of the same or greater value. If you decide you want to return the tapestry for a product refund, then you are responsible for the return shipping costs. Please note: Packaging materials need to be kept for inspection if a replacement item or refund is requested. If you do not keep the packing materials, unfortunately we cannot replace or refund your order.

Tapestry Hanging Options
After selecting your tapestry and adding it to the shopping bag, you can choose your hanging rod option from the hanging rod page by clicking here.
Choosing the right size
The black bar part of the hanging rods are telescopic and will fit any tapestry widths that fall within the size range specified. For example, if your tapestry was 90cm wide you would need a Size 2 hanging rod. Note: The hanging rod can be slid in or out to show as little or as much of the black bar as you would like.

We also offer the option to pay by Bank Transfer and Cheque - simply select the option of your choice at checkout.
